Speed and flexibility make the difference for pharmaceuticals Contract Manufacturer Ardena

  • The request of Contract Manufacturer Ardena was for a vessel to fulfil:

    • 50L working capacity
    • Easily transportable between production and cleaning stations
    • Heating, cooling and insulation capabilities: temperature range of 20-80C, with cooling from 80-20C in 20-30 mins.
    • Certified 316L pharmaceutical grade stainless steel product contact parts

Expert advice and trusted collaboration during the quotation process, for customers worldwide:

Pharma Hygiene Products’ International Sales Manager Renata Bartekova requested that Ardena complete a simple but thorough questionnaire in advance of a meeting between our two companies. This enabled her to immediately tailor the proposal to the specific requirements of Ardena’s mixing project, which sped up the quotation process.

We also provide estimations of batch mixing speeds, to evaluate the return on investment opportunity, which helps CMO customers such as Ardena to secure budget approval from their stakeholders.

Our quotations won’t include any hidden costs, and we are proud that there is no false economy in investing in our high quality mixing vessels – they ensure long-term reliability and performance.

  • Pharma Hygiene Products’ in-house Engineering Design & Production teams have delivered a 50L Water Jacketed Vessel to meet the criteria defined by the customer, with:

    • Cooling by connection of the vessel to a cold water supply with motorised ball valve to allow flow of water in to regulate temperature and cool, with waste ‘hot’ water sent to customer drain.
    • Thermowell and PT100 temperature sensor in the jacket to control temperature.
    • 3kW immersion heater in the base of the vessel to heat water to 80C, time from 20-80C is approx. 1.5 hrs.
    • Control box mounted on the frame to precisely control the temperature and set points.
    • Product contact parts certified 316L stainless electropolished.

In-house design and manufacture, for complete project oversight:

Our highly qualified technical engineering team have combined experience of over 40 years in the industry

On-site welding and machining departments mean that custom or bespoke elements are more accessible at Pharma Hygiene Products,
    than with many other suppliers

Often, CMO customers require Material Grade, Surface Finish or TSE certification, which we are qualified to issue in-house

As requested by Ardena, almost all CMO customers request their vessels to be supplied mobile, so they can easily reconfigure their factory set-up as required.

Mobile frames also enable more efficient transport of the vessel between mixing and cleaning stations.

  • Designs are saved as part of our Quality Management System, which significantly reduces the quotation to order time for CMOs such as Ardena, who need to repeat order the same vessel specification for multiple jobs.

We can also scale-up our vessel designs, to enable larger batch fulfilment for CMOs when they need it. This means that CMOs can be more flexible to adapt to any changes needed in their manufacturing processes.

  • We offer training with one of our engineers, either at your site or ours, to make sure you don’t experience a high level of downtime during the learning curve.

We proactively ensure availability of spare parts and also timely responses to maintenance queries, which removes this element of concern for Contract Manufacturers

    The Verdict?

“We are thoroughly impressed with Pharma Hygiene Products’ speed, flexibility, and their communicative and supportive approach in helping us find the right tools for the job”
