Mixing Solution for Sauces & Dressings Customer

When mixing sauces and dressings, some ingredients can provide a challenge, especially when products have a high viscosity or contain small ‘bits’. This can lead to operators getting repetitive strain injury from the hard manual labour required to stir the thick mixture.

A customer struggling with uneven dispersion of ingredients challenged Pharma Hygiene Products to provide a solution that would reduce manual requirement while improving the consistency of their finished product

The challenge:

To design a mixing container for a customer manufacturing sauces and dressings that can handle thick products and those with small ‘bits’ or ‘chunks’ to evenly disperse ingredients.

To reduce product build up on the container wall while mixing and increase yield from ingredients.

The Solution:

After reviewing product characteristics, the experienced Pharma Hygiene Products technical team were confident that a propeller mixer would be the best solution for the challenge.

As a result of the propeller mixer being installed (just 8 weeks from order!), this customer was able to increase operator and consumer satisfaction, as ingredients are more evenly dispersed than previously achieved manually while easing strain on operators.
